1st INTERNATIONAL CONTEST for "EVENT DESIGN" 2001

EURO-EVENTS, an International Communications Agency located in southwest France, is organizing an "International Design Contest for Events".
Specific stand furniture, unique hostess uniforms, original décors, creative installations for revues and staging or objects of everyday use ..


CATEGORIES
I Showbiz (sets, technical equipments, stage costumes, etc)
II Exhibitions (booths, fashion, graphic design, etc)
III Innovations in the field of event design


PROJECT PRESENTATION
All participants have to send a file with the following documents:
o This application form, filled out duly
o A Curriculum Vitae
o A presentation of your realisation: objective, destination... (max 1-2 page(s) - DIN A4 sheet)
o A description of its functioning, instructions of use and the different technical abilities
o Pictures and / or rough drawing
This file can also consist of a CD Rom (PC & MAC). No application via e-mail will be accepted.


Registration deadline : 30/06/2001
DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING ENTRIES : 8/31/2001 (POSTMARK)


CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
The competition is free and open to all students, trainees and professionals of any age group or nationality, who are working in the event design area. The participants may create a project after an idea or send a project that they have already realized in the field of event design. The project may not damage any existing copyrights. Euro-Events will not assume any liabilites to any damages.

PRIZE PER CATEGORY / JURY :
The jury's presidence will be held by the French architect Jean-Philippe Zoppini, world-wide known for his Maritime Design Projects. This connoisseur of the international design scene and his European colleagues of the jury will award the winner's podium to the designs that excel in innovation and ideas.



The jury's decisions will not be announced to the public. All entries will be studied. Only one project per category will be rewarded. The winners will be notified of the results by mail.


Awards in the 3 categories :
I Showbiz Design : An exhibition in Monaco - Monte Carlo
II Exhibition Design : An exhibition on the French Riviera
III Innovations : Presentation of the winning innovation at "The International Design Biennial-Off" in Saint-Etienne, France


In addition to the prizes, the design winners will join in the program of services offered by Euro-Events, a communication Agency specialized in preparing special events, hence winners will be given a first-hand opportunity to work in the international event design market.
