ACS Award 2001
The Hesse Chamber of Architects announces the ACS Award 2001, the
13th in a series of competitions on the occasion of the tradeshow ACS - Computersystems
in the AEC Industry. For the first time, though, the award is open worldwide.
The subject of the ACS Award 2001 is 'remote collaboration' - cooperation over
long distances.
Competitions in general and handling new media in particular are
supposed to be fun. Therefore we would like to invite you to participate in
a design game of experimental character. The central focus of the ACS Award
2001 is cooperation between randomly assembled teams over long distances with
the help of modern information and communications technologies. The small teams
are to select and work on one out of five design tasks.
Eligible are architects of all disciplines, engineers in the fields
of civil engineering, planning loadbearing structures and building equipment
technologies, computer scientists and economists, designers, media systems designers
and students as well as graduates of the aforesaid disciplines.
